Road Design
CDS-Road routines allow you to design all road
formats, from a simple forest fire trail though normal suburban roads of two
lanes and right up to multi-lane freeways.
To ensure that you can achieve the most
efficient result in any particular design brief, CDS-Road can accommodate both
"Template" type road design and the alternative "String"
based design format popularised by MOSSŪ among others.
You design interactively, and the screen below
shows a typical design screen with windows allowing you to see the effect of
your changes in plan, profile and sectional views concurrently.
When you need to focus on a particular aspect of
the design, simply make the relevant window full screen to give you greater
control.
In the screen below we have maximised the
Profile Window to allow interactive positioning of the Vertical IP's, and the
'pop-up' window is accessed by clicking the right mouse button to give you a
menu list of the functions available to make your design grading more efficient.
You have complete control over settings to
ensure that your finished plan reflects the type of plan your client is
accustomed to.
The screen below shows selection of line types
to be used in the final drawings.
Note that as well as using the linetypes
supplied, you can quickly and easily define additional linetypes to give your
drawings a truly personal touch.
Both Profiles (aka Long Sections) and Cross
Sections can be plotted at the scales you need, any CDS-Road gives you the
ability to specify the plotting format so you can easily satisfy the
requirements of even the most particular clients
