Shortcut from Agguide/LevelGuide to Ezigrade and Back
Here is a description of a shortcut method to use after picking up a job in LevelGuide and bringing up the job immediately within Ezigrade.
After surveying and saving survey data in LevelGuide. The data is stored in the default directory "C:\Precision\AgGuideV6\Survey". There will be usually 2 files stored "yourjob.path" and "yourjob_mark.path" as well as files from previous survey pickups.
The default procedure is:
In Agguide/LevelGuide
Add a field
Add a plan
Create a survey plan and do a survey and create a Master Bench mark as a feature
Go to Field -> Other -> Export Survey. This opens the browser. The default position and name for the file will be C:(or D:)/Precision/AgGuideV6/Survey/Field_planname. There are two files there. One called Field_plannmae.path and another called Field_planname_mark.path
In Ezigrade
Open Ezigrade
Press File -> Level Guide (Custom Open/New)
Last modified file is filled by default. Check file name is correct and press OK
Do the Design
Export the Design
In Agguide/LevelGuide
Add Plan
Load Plan
Here is the expanded description within Ezigrade:
After opening Ezigrade from the desktop icon we have:
Click on the File -> Level Guide option. The LevelGuide default directory is brought up. If you select a different directory then this directory will be brought up until it is changed. Check this is the job we want to open. It doesn't matter if we have the mark or the job file selected.
Click Open. We pop up a box on what units you want to use. The path file always contains data in meters. However our north American, Liberian and Myanmarian clients still use imperial units so you may wish to change to international or survey feet.
Click OK. Ezigrade shows some prompts on what files are being imported. You are also asked whether you want to display surfaces and contours. May as well say yes, unless you decide to not use the data.
And job is displayed:
Close down Ezigrade and go back to Agguide/LevelGuide.
